I saw Elton John in concert in Denver, Co in 1993 or 1994. He toured with a "percussionist" what's his name ?

I am trying to remember the name of the "percussionist" that Elton John toured with in the mid 90's in Denver, Colorado. The concert that my wife and I saw was just Elton John and this man. Does anyone know his name?
