Should i get involved or no.....?

Hey guys thanks for looking at this question and just bare with me this maybe a little long but i just need your opinion thanks :) Ok this guy at my school i guess likes me he stares at me, and talks about me everyday i mean a bunch of the football players and soccer players know me bc of him, um ive know him since elementary school he was mean to me then but still kinda hit on me lol, when we got to middle school i knda avoided him and when i did he would give me mean faces and all "he would shake his head at me" but then i guess i started to like him and i told my friend and ofcoarse she told him and he just told all his friends that i liked him, anyways lets move up to the next year he then would stare at me all the time and it was just weird at first then idk how but i started to like it cuz just the way he would look at me made me feel i guess you could say older, womanly horny lol, me and my friend used to play jokes on him i would get her to call my name in the hallway and he `d look around and she would start laughing lol and he would just look at her, then he told her that he liked me that he`s liked me for a really long time and that he still had feelings for me and yah know he continued his staring even if i`d catch him he wouldn `t stop like for example at our farewell embly he looked at me the whole time no one else noticed but me "fyi we didn `t talk at all during middle school and didn` t have any cles together" when we started high school i had gym with him and when he saw me he started to scream my name like he does his sports friends on the field in the gym yeah it was embarring, and he still did staring especially when we `d all run or stretch even when i saw him do it it `s like he didn `t care, he `d tell me all his guy friends liked me, at one point he had his friends following me around and even when he was with his friends he `d stare and they would too i thought it was funny but my friends thought it was creepy anyways lets finish this up, one of the ppl on my field hockey team told me he asked this girl to give him yah know a BJ and she said no but he told everybody she did anyway, and he flirts with everygirl now since we `re sopres but yesterday i was at our schools varsity football game and i saw him and he was looking at me from the snack bar where he was standing then he went back on field and said something to this guy and kept pointing at me and i was looking right at him, but what should i do i guess i avoid the fact that he likes me cuz we `re different races not that im a racist but i just dont get why he `d like me, im just confused i mean every1 says he `s a jerk but he looks so sad whenever he stares at me or when i dont talk to him it kinda makes me feel guilty what do i do this has been going on for 5 years now.
