Does a day care owner make a good profit?

want to open a preschool as I have been a pre-k teacher about nine years myself and I also have an AA in Psych and Social Sciences. But money is definitely a factor in my business start up and money making dreams. I am growing weary of the child care salaries that I've been making and is just not comfortable with it anymore. Some people don't mind the money, but I am just wanting a little bit more in life. So the question is, could I make a good profit opposed to losses every month. Like if I had 20 kids, and 10 were 150.00 a week, and ten were 180 a week. Would I see a good profit after salaries, bills, etc are paid out? This is just a guesstimation so it doesn't need to be accurate. Thanks!
