In the name of OUr Lord, Jesus H. Christ, How does it diminish us that we evolved from lower forms of life?

We should be proud of our evolutionary history and heritage. Through billions of years of other animals trying to kill us, and viruses trying to kill us, and the world throwing harsh winters and hot summers at us, (not to mention the odd asteroid or two trying to wipe us off the face of the planet!)we have survived to master the Planet, and change it for our needs. We did this because of evolution! It made us what we are today! So why are so many people ashamed of evolution, or deny it happened? It was, and is, a VERY GOOD THING!! GO, HUMANS!!!!
