Full time working mothers - are your houses clean?

I am a full time working mother of three children and a husband. While my house is not one you could come through with a white rag and find absolutely nothing wrong with it , I push my self to clean and luckily I have a husband who helps me out and at least puts forth the effort in doing somethings either with me or by himself. With three children 6,5,3 a house can be torn apart in a matter of minutes and we have strict rules at my house. Even still my house seems to somehow find its way to needing to be cleaned in the 3 hours before bedtime. Trust me there are some days where I just want to forget it all and relax but I know if I don't do it now its just twice as much later. Work together with your husband or even your kids. Have your husband look after the baby , plug the ipod into your ears and sink in to mommy time but at the same time accomplish what needs to be done. They after the baby is asleep sit back and relax, I notice as well that I am a lot more relaxed if I am sitting in a straightened up house rather than a messy one. It leads to a cleaned state of mind! Hope this helps !

Overweight Babies?

About a month ago, a co-worker of mine had a baby granddaughter and she weighed in at a whopping 9 Ilb 13 oz and yesterday another co-worker's wife just had a baby boy, are you ready for this...........................????? 10 lbs, 12 oz!! The first baby photos look like they are like 3 months old. I doubt any of the "newborn" infant clothes they received at the baby shower will even fit. I'm a mother of 2, my daughter was 5 lbs, 4 oz. My son was 6 lbs, 2 oz. These 2 babies above weighed twice as much as mine did. What makes some babies bigger than others? Is this normal for babies to be this big at birth? Needless to say, both mothers had an extremely hard time giving birth and I know one of them had to have a C-section.

How do you do perfect, straight ollies?

Hi, I've been doing ollies for about 8 or 9 monthes and they've gone from decent to ok. I'm having problems with them. One problem that I have that seems to always happen is that when I land my front foot is on some what on the on the nose and covering the front top bolts and sometimes land in nose manuel. Sometimes I'll land like that, but with front some what hanging off the toe side of the board. Another thing that will happen a lot is that I'll turn frontside a littlle and then when I land I'll always have to kick turn out of it another thing that happens is my back foot will somtimes be on its toes and I'll sometimes lose my balance and jump off the board. Alos when I try to do a high ollie and I'll suck up legs but then it will feel like my front foot is coming off the board so I'll end up doing a very low ollie. I also have a hard time doing high, far ollies when I'm moving pretty fast. I can never land with my feet flat on the bolts. Any tips so I can do better straight ollies? Thanks!

Ever since then, have mildly severe heartburn every day all day, stomach upset. No diarrhea. Throat swollen, at times feels like I am being choked. Bloodwork shows liver enzymes not right, Dr. says looks like a virus. I feel better inside now for a week, but still can't eat right and still throat swollen. protonix, prilosec otc, did nothing. zantac 300 made me severely nauseous. Pepto works best, but try not to take it at all. What is going on? Dr has no answer for me. I have no insurance so can't get endoscopy or other diagnostic tests.

I really enjoy a drink, I look forward to it at the end of a busy day when cooking & having a gl of wine or just relaxing with take-out & a good movie. I sometimes go to bed & wake up in the morning & can't remember how I got to bed, not all the time, just sometimes. My fiance hardly drinks so gets very annoyed & whats worse, I have a 5 month old baby to take care of. I ensure I never drink much when he's awake ie it's usually started when he goes to bed at night. A friend says I use it to relax. I am twenty years old, I recently worked to save up enough money to move into my first apartment, and was successful. I am also enrolled in college. Unfortunately since I moved in without any sort of credit I was treated as if I had bad credit. From the gas company to the electric company I was charged fees for basically starting to have credit. As a result my money was drained. To make matters worse I ended up losing my job. I don't have any food in my fridge except for some slices of bread, and some water. I filed for unemployment. As I continue to look for a job I keep running into snobbish employers who always seem to dish out their recited line "We're not hiring right now". I feel like I am on the brink of poverty,because I continue having to reach out to my family for rent and I am hungry. I am afraid if I end up in poverty I may end up doing something that I don't want to do, and may end up regretting for life. What more can I do to avoid sinking into the world of poverty.

Another one... Kickboxing / competitive fighting???

I think kickboxing will give you some good skills for long and medium range fighting. The distance and strategy is a little closer for wrestling and grappling and as long as you work at learning how to make those adjustments you should be fine. Some people don't think about such things or have trouble with that but the fact that you asked this question and are thinking about this tells me that you should be fine once you learn how and what adjustments to make as that distance changes and you close the gap with your opponent. Skills at long, medium and short range together with wrestling and grappling aspects will make you much more rounded and make you a much more complete martial artist and capable of defending yourself.

The management at my work is backwards. This one manager,in general...we'll call him Jim. This morning my manager, Jim, came in with the determination to "make one of the girls cry". he does this a lot and calls us "bitches". tells us "get to work you lazy pieces of sh*t" and rambles on about how hes "so sick of this crap" "hes gotta buckle down!" Any complaint you can think of,he blurts it. With a lot of the F word thrown in between. He decided he was going to make me "cry" today and proceeded to mess with me a majority of the morning,before opening,until I had it and he officially put me in a bad mood. I snapped,gave him an attitude and he backed off,I guesss. I did my best to ignore it and laugh it off. If I did laugh and try to keep a smile on my face he'd say something like "what the fuhk are you laughing at?!" regardless, this is my manager. I'm a server,I work in a restaurant and if you've ever worked in a restaurant you'd understand you can get away with a lot of horse play and bad language. Later on that day, I got written up. The first table of the day got sat. I went and greeted them and this man told me he cant even tell me what he wants to drink because the music is so loud he cant even think. I said, I'll get my manager to turn it down for you. Walked away, and told my manager...whose been messing with me all morning...table 35 wants the music louder! as a joke,of course. sense we seem to be just joking this fine morning. I tell him later, like 30 seconds "later" they want the music turned down and its too loud for him. I was joking. He didnt find it funny. He calls for a shift meeting and doesnt bother to turn the music down. one minute later,during the meeting the tables walks out. this was all within two minutes. this table didn't even give us a chance to turn it down. they got up,yelled at the hostess and left. I was written up and now im a little weary I may loss my job,over something so silly. I dont know what to tell my general manager besides it was a joke gone bad and a few very cranky people who came to dine at the fine establishment, Applebees. I just dont understand why my manager can screw with his employees all day and nothing comes of it and then someone does it back and now im about to lose my job. I've been there for a year. House temperature???

live with just my dad. he keeps the house thermostat at 55 and supplements with a wood fire, but the house's overall temperature is usually not more than 60. the rooms furthest from the fireplace are below that since the central rarely comes on while the fire is burning. we are not poor, it just seems that the cold doesn't both him at all and he likes conserving energy. is this too cold? is it safe to remain in such temperatures for extended periods of time?

I just got a crock pot for valentines day, what are some easy recipes with few ingredients?

Get a pork or beef roast add some water and a packet of Lipton onion soup mix with some black pepper. Cook all day. Make baked/mashed potatoes and a veggie, or you can add potatos and carrots the last hour or so in to the crock pot. Enjoy. I also make a gravy from the crock pot juices with corn starch. It's all always so good and great for leftovers, too.

The pay and people there are great, but the actual job, gift wrapping, is horrible. If you have the slightest interest in developing yourself as an designer don't bother with the place. im currently attending school to for fighter crew chief across the street from me are the heavy crew chiefs. Its pretty cool going to the hangers everyday and getting to put your hands on jets. As far as combat goes you will never see it but you will always train for it. Even working on the flight line. Dont pick security forces they deploy ever 6 months and work crazy long hours and you will probably see combat. Air traffic control is a good way to go but a lot of people fail the tech school for that job. Aerospace propulsions is really cool to i would try to get that job. As far as fire protection goes that will be something you will wait a long time for.

What would cause a 21lb turkey to cook too long?

We put the turkey in for 6 hours @ 350 degrees on the 7 hour up to 400 degrees and after 8 hours it was still bleeding! It was in a gaggneau convection oven that typically overcooks things. Any ideas? Someone told us that it was probably because the store may have let the turkey thaw and then they refroze it and sold it again. I have no idea.

ok, so having alot of symptoms and I just want some feedback.. Been to the doc but it seems they always just like to dismiss it all. Ok so I have some serious bowel issues, I can't go and will sometimes go almost a week until i drink an organic tea that helps move things along but I dont like doing that. My current issues are: not going, serious abdominal pain, big pain in my left side under my ribcage, dull achy lower back pain, i have had a change in my urinary habits for sometime now like not feeling like i fully empty and having to sit there for like 5 mins and try to push more out and constantly feeling like i have to pee, (been like this for a year and always dismissed as UTI even tho test were negative). I just constantly feel like i have some kind of bowel issue going on and IBS is kind of like a dismissal blanket diagnosis.. I wanna know why i am in such pain on my left side... it feels like its getting worse but doc today dismissed it as pulled muscle due to my bronchitis.. doesnt feel muscular tho... any answers???

Dog bloat! Post treatment treatment.?

My dog has suffered from bloat. I took her to the vet. He drained the excess air/water etc. Im aware of its causes and the dangers. When I left the vet said give very little water. She hasnt eaten in days. I give her small amounts of water at varied intervals. Shes weak. I tried mashing up some of her dog food with water so that she ingests some kind of food. I recently bought a Sarasa Comet Goldfish and a few minnows. So far all of the minnows have died, and the Sarasa (affectionately named Skittles) is well on his way to the same fate. Before the minnows died they developed a white furry substance on their skin, and their fins seemed to break off, now my Sarasa is starting to develope the same problems. I've researched this, and it seems to be a fungus. Could that be what killed my minnows? If so, what can I do to fix this problem? Hi! Japan has lots of offer. Kyoto, the ancient capital should definitely be on your hit list. You could easily spend up to a week there. Osaka is pretty amazing and very easy to get around. Osaka and Kyoto are only 30 minutes away from each other by train. A very popular trip is to fly into Osaka and go to Kyoto and Nara (location of the largest Buddha statue). Of course, Tokyo is great. I have friends there now and they say that Tokyo has pretty much fully recovered from the earthquake. The great news is that it`ll be pretty easy to find locals who speak English in these areas. The are so friendly too.
